Huisgenoot het die groot sterre van die Afrikaanse musiekwêreld Dinsdagaand vereer met die aankondiging van die Huisgenoot-Tempo-wenners vir 2010.
Net albums en musiekvideo’s wat tussen 1 Mei 2009 en 30 April 2010 in die handel uitgereik is, het tydens die beoordelingsproses in aanmerking gekom.
Die Tempo-eerbewyse, waar Nicholis Louw as die gewildste manlike kunstenaar en Juanita du Plessis as die gewildste vroulike kunstenaar aangewys is, is die belangrikste toekenningsplegtigheid vir die Afrikaanse musiekbedryf.
By hierdie geleentheid is die wenners van vanjaar se Huisgenoot-Liedjieskryfkompetisie ook aangekondig. Die doel hiervan is om nuwe liedjieskryftalent in Afrikaans te ontgin.
